The object designed a kind of flight control system for the small unmanned airship which is based on the digital signal processor (DSP). The control method of the system is a combination of the manual and automatic control, which greatly improved the flexibility of airship use and broadened the field of airship use. To meet the accuracy, high efficiency, low power consumption, miniaturization, and other characteristics, the flight control system is composed by data acquisition subsystem, guidance and control subsystem, servo drive subsystem three parts. The data acquisition subsystem sent the data which can characterize the flying state of the airship to the guidance and control subsystem, the task of guidance and control subsystem is to monitor the flight mode, update the control variables, process fault conditions. Servo drive subsystem drives actuators action according to the amount of control variables.The complex task of flight attitude calculation dose not calculate in the DSP, but in the High-performance MEMS sensor MTi, so that the DSP has enough time to perform more complex algorithm. The whole system has a characteristic of fast response and high control accuracy.
