With the development of high altitude UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) in the military, it is important to study a high altitude and long endurance UAV which can fly under kinds of faults. The paper adapts Triplex Hot-redundancy control system to fulfill once breakdown happening second safety designing and concentrates on the study of redundant flying control computer and prototype data communication system.According to the theory of redundancy, the paper firstly makes a comparison and examination on the Fault-Tolerant schedule of Triplex Hot-redundancy flying control computer system and makes an outline including hardware, software and external data interface definition interface. Secondly, it discusses the design details of the intelligent serial communication card. Lastly, it introduces and designs the software of the serial card and the drivers of some I/O cards based on the VxWorks operating system which can be used in the experiment. The key points of the paper include hardware designing of Intelligent serial communication card conversion which can realize the function of transferring of PC104 and RS232, the design of software and the development of Triplex Hot-redundancy flying control system driving of I/O electronic board in the VxWroks operation system and the application of Intelligent serial communication card conversion in experiment.This paper introduces detailedly the way using C8051F020 to implement the interface between PC104 and RS232. Generally speaking, the design of hardware is relatively unsophisticated, but the efficient reliable firmware is the key to finish conversion function. The PC104-RS232 interface is small in size, easy to design, has reliable converted function, and has application in Triplex Hot-redundancy Flight control computer communications and other measuring production, can be used in a very wide field. The ground experiment's result about the semi-physical simulation shows that triplex Hot-redundancy flight control computer's communication system design is rational, feasible and reliable.
