Along with the process of industrial modernization, industrial production in the process of controlled object and the control precision and the performance requirements of increasingly high, and because of the structural change of the object of control, operating environment changes, the non-linear effects, as well as environmental interference and other factors, the traditional PID controller has been unable to meet the practical requirements of industrial production, so in recent years we try to apply the new development of intelligent control to the industrial control field.In recent years, the rapid development of fuzzy control theory, fuzzy control has become the most active area of research in intelligent control, the most fruitful branch. With the development and application of intelligent PID, fuzzy PID plays a more and more important role, as the future theoretical research and practical application of one of the most important techniques, attention.Based on the classical control theory, modern control and intelligent control are briefly explained, introduced to control the process of theory development, then focuses on the conventional PID control algorithm and fuzzy PID parameters self-tuning control algorithm. After that, according to the specific object-forging machine hydraulic system simulation research. Through the simulation, the conventional PID control and fuzzy PID parameters self-tuning control effects are compared. The simulation results show that, the fuzzy PID parameters self-tuning controller has small overshoot, good stability, fast response speed, short transient time, control of high precision, but also has very good dynamic and static performance, fuzzy PID parameters self-tuning controller is obviously superior to the conventional PID controller.In this paper the forging machine as the target of fuzzy PID algorithm, because the press machine is the mechanical manufacturing industry of heavy equipment, is a national symbol of manufacturing level ability. As a result of forging machines are often long time continuous working state, and for expensive, the need for the reliability of the control system has very high demand, the control system must adapt to the harsh environment of the workshop. So this paper to forging machine as carrying on the simulation study also has realistic significance.
