With the development of real time locating technology, to build the secure, stable andhigh-performance prison management system which bases on this technology is widespreadpursued by the majority of security management institutions and researchers. Recently, themonitoring management in prison is most based on video monitoring technology which can’tmeet the requirement of daily work. So how to build an electronize management platformefficiently is one of the hottest research issues between researchers. Real time locating system(RTLS) is a wireless communication technology, could identify targets in an uncertain regionautomatically by radio frequency signal, which will solve the above problems and integrate withthe existing video monitoring platform well. Therefore, the key issues are reasonable networkdeployment scheme, secure network information and dependable software architecture. Thisthesis focuses on the theme of wireless real time locating technology and high-performanceprison management system, based on RTLS, the design scheme and software developmentarchitecture of prison management system has been researched. The main context andachievement of this thesis are as follows:(1) The thesis describes the leading trend of real time locating technology, the currentdevelopment situation and research significance in various fields. Then it briefly discussesseveral excellent solutions in these fields, and analyse the differences and relative merits betweenthem. With frameworks integration technical route, architecture of prison management system isproposed.(2) In order to identify multi-tags in target region more quickly and efficiently, RFIDtechnology and short distance locating algorithm has been studied. According to the researchingand analyzing of binary tree search anti-collision algorithm, an improved dynamic anti-collisionalgorithm based on binary tree is brought forward. By using Back-Strategy on reader side andsetting a counter in tag side to record the search level, it reduce the search times and datacommunications volume obviously.(3) In order to enhance the expansion of the platform and the security of the networktransmission. It compared various Web service model and introduced Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to optimize metadata visiting mechanism and message service.(4) It also analysed the actual requirement of prison management system, designed theB/S/S architecture by.NET rich application technology—Silverlight. That is a3-tier architecturewhich contains browser client, application service layer and database server. Based on thepervious work, the main system function modules were designed, implemented and tested.Finally, the thesis is summarized and predicted.
