Spatial reasoning is an important research direction in artificial intelligence, and also thehot research field of geographic information systems, and spatial-temporal database.Qualitative spatial reasoning is an important aspect of spatial reasoning. It has been attractedmany scholars to use logic, algebra and other methods to study it. Spatial reasoning is dividedinto researching position, topology, and shape relations depending on the nature of the spaceobject. Spatial reasoning at this stage has been more extensive research on the planeinter-regional position relationship, but shaped like a hemisphere surface area of themountain, position relationship between the expressions of reasoning has had not an idealmodel.In this paper, to solve the position relationship of the hemisphere surface, we startedfrom the hemispherical projection relations, put forward the minimum boundary sector model(MBS), given the representation of the model and the reasoning methods, and the inverseoperation of derived atomic relations with the result of the operation of the compositeoperator.The specific work is as follows:1. Overview of the latest results of the qualitative spatial reasoning in recent years, andintroduces the research background, purpose and meaning.2. Introduces the background of theoretical knowledge related to this article work.3. Proposed the minimum boundary sector model (MBS) to express the positionrelationship on hemisphericalProject the area on hemisphere surface to the undersurface, and use two concentriccircular arc and two diameter of the line to limit the reference area into a minimumboundary sectors, to establish the MBS model. According to the position of thereference area, relations are divided into12atomic area on the whole projectiveplanes. Through studying the features such as the number of studyarea on the atomic region, distinguish the position relationship between the studyarea and reference area, give the expression forms of the tuple and the positionmatrix of relations and total points out that can distinguish1932kind of real different cases.4. Given the inverse operator method and give the result of the operationAccording to the special properties of the model, divided into two orthogonaldirection, the ring and longitudinal direction, defined the0-baseline to the ringdirection and starting point to the longitudinal direction, then the formalismdescription form of the minimum are given, and then discuss out some properties ofthe model, according to this, we put forward the inverse relationship method of MBSmethod and give the operation result, to lay the foundation for computationalreasoning.5. Given the composite algorithm of atom relationship and the operation resultsGiven a composite definition of the model, proposed a composite algorithm of atomrelationship, given the composite results and demonstrate the correctness of thecomposite table.6. Design and Implementation of the model expression, find the inverse operationand demonstration of the composite operator system.In order to solve the expression and reasoning of the position relationship on thehemisphere, this paper first puts forward the minimum boundary sector model MBS.Considering actual people in the spatial position of the cognitive style, this model selects theatomic position relationships with the intuitive, gives the tuple and position matrix forms ofexpression, proposes the inverse operation as well as composite calculus of atomic relations,and proves the correctness of the result of calculus with the help of formal description, and atlast, using the demonstration system of the model to show the expression and reasoningprocess. This study has done a certain foreshadowing for the position relationship onhemisphere surface, and has a certain theoretical significance and application value to thecomplex position relationship on hemisphere surface also.
