Objectives: In research of relationship between micro expression recognition andpsychological factors under the premise, explore the effect of emotional situation and trainingfactor on micro expression recognition. Not only richen micro expression recognition, but alsoprovides micro expression recognition training with the more theoretical basis in the context ofChinese culture. Methods: We have adapted the method of researching investigation and have discussed therelation between micro expression recognition and other dimensions of the personality andcoping style and trust level. The method of experimentation is used to explore the influence ofdifferent emotional situations on micro expression recognition. This experiment used a3(emotional situation)×3(time) mixed experimental design. Emotional situations were nervous, relaxed and neutral situation.Time has three levels which are pre-training,post-training and aweek after the training. Student’s Chi-square analysis,t-test,Pearson correlation analysis,Spearman correlation analysis and repetitive measure ANOVA were used in the data analysis.Results:1.The investigation showed that micro expression recognition has correlation withneuroticism(r=0.324,P=0.032). Micro expression recognition has no correlation with otherdimensions of the personality and coping style and trust level (P>0.05).2.The Experimental study shows the differences of the micro expression recognition of thedifferent participants has statistical significance between different emotional situationgroups(P<0.05). The micro expression recognition ability score of the nervous music group hasdifference with which of the relaxed music group and the no music control grouprespectively(P<0.05).The micro expression recognition ability score of the nervous music groupis the lowest. There was no difference between the relaxed music group and the no music controlgroup of micro expression recognition ability score.3.There is a difference in every time point of the micro expression recognition ability score(F=44.891,P<0.001).The difference between the pre-and post-training scores has statisticalsignificance(P<0.001).The post-training scores is higher than othe two groups scores.Thedifference between the pre-training and a week after the training scores has no statisticalsignificance(P=0.652). Conclusions:1.The micro expression recognition ability only has significant correlationwith the neuroticism of the undergraduates’five-factor personality, but has no correlation withthe coping style and trust level.2.In the different emotion groups(nervous music group, relaxedmusic group and no music control group), the micro expression recognition ability score of therelaxed music group is the highest. It can be regarded that the relaxed situation has the best effecton the micro expression recognition ability.3.From the three levels of the time(pre-training,post-training and a week after the training),the micro expression recognition abilityscore of the post-training is the highest,so it can be considered that the training can effectivelyimprove the micro expression recognition ability. Thus, the relaxed situation+training is the bestmodels to improve the micro expression recognition ability, which can make micro expressionrecognition achieve the best effect.
