Shunting List Server System Design Based On ATM

Shunting list server is a special equipment used in station for storing sending and receiving shunting operation list. At the present stage, this operation mainly appears in the form of Industrial Personal Computer, which is a kind of waste both in terms of the cost and energy conservation. Nowadays, Embedded technology develops rapidly and its interface circuit become more and more plentiful. In addition, it has many advantages such as low cost, low power consumption so Embedded technology is widely applied in various fields, such as national defence, industry,civilian use, agriculture, etc.This text utilize S5PV210(cortex-A8core) of Samsung,design a shunting list server based on ARM,in hardware,it owns VGA interface(support common LCD monitor),internet interface,USB interface(support key,mouse etc.),RS232,RS485and so on.In operating system,Embedded linux system is applied, one reason is that its stability&safty features are proper for server;second is it’s Customizable,that is it can be tailored for one’s own needs to save flash space.In application software aspect, transplanting Qt4library to flash memory, and developing user-friendly,easy-to-operate HMI with embedded Qt-creator finally achieved the same operation effect as industrial PC. Compared with the previous industrial PC, this product has the following advantages:first, reliability. For hardware, interfaces&chips of this product are in the form of welding integrated in a circuit board, data storage device adopts industrial-class flash, compared with plug-in type hard disk,it can adapt to bad environment such as vibration more properly. For operating system, apply Linux system,which is more suitable as a server than Windows. Second, low power consumption. The power of the main chip is only300mW, compared with the previous industrial PC, it is also more energy saving even including other chip power consumption. Third, No noise pollution. Because of low power consumption, it does not need cooling fan. Fourth, small volume, low cost, easy to integrate with other level tracks devices such as district station.
