Design And Implementation Of Virtual Experiment Platform Based On Communication Theory

With the development of information technology and network, real-time classes and experiments based web are possible. And the experiment course of communication theory generally prefer using simulation software to real laboratory equipment, as a result of that real equipment is usually expensive,fasterdepreciative and costs more on maintenance. As the experiment course based on simulation software, developing a virtual laboratory to move the experiment course of communication theory to the network is possible. The core of this paper and my work is to research how to realize a virtual lab platform to do experiment of communication theory.Through the research of the field and papers of virtual simulation equipment at home and abroad, we find that there are two traditional communication simulation software which are Matlab and Labview,many researchers and developers have already realize the virtual experiment platform based on the Web Server services supported by Labview and Matlab. Users can just set parameters of a given experiment on the brawser with weak interaction.We also choose Matlab as the underlying computing environment to develop a virtual lab platform using Matlab Builder Ja components to package the needed Matlab functions to Java classes and methods that will be responsed by Java calls, which is based on both Matlab and Java programming. Using Java programming techniques on interface and network, combined with the underlying operations of Matlab, users can easily set up and freely modify the experiment and related components, which interacts better than Web Server. In order to illustrate the implementation of platform and the components, this paper takes 2ASK experiment as a example to prove the feasibility of this approach as well as the operability of the platform.
