The Design And Implementation Of Network Security Virtual Experiment System

As the rapid development of modern computer and network technology, every aspect of people’s life, study and work are inseparably connected with with the internet. However, as we’re benefit from the internet, our personal information as well as commercial information easily and wildly exposes to the public network. A lot of network security problems happened which brings much more safety concerns so that people remand higher and higher network security level and our society needs more network security talents. Therefore, this paper combined network security subject with virtual experiment technology and then came up to the concept of network security virtual experiment system. Because network security experiment requires a lot for the lab, equitments and funds, some colleges can’t afford it. But the security virtual experiment system proposed by this paper can easily solve such problems. It provides sufficient experimental equitments without space and time limit, no matter teachers and students can freely start the experiment as they want.The security virtual experiment system proposed by this paper mainly implemented with virtual machine techonogy which includes opens source virtual machine platform Dyanmips as well as QEMU. The former is used to emulate and run the network equipement of the system which can simulate different network environment. The latter is used to emulate and run the computer operation system for the experiments which allows the users do any operation in the simulated system. Except for the system design and implement, the paper also provides the experiment application serials which the security virtual experiment system can carry out, including operation system security category, server security category, network scan and data package sniffer category, network attack and defend category as well as firewall category. The security virtual experiment system proposed by this paper not only provides a unified platform for network security experiment course but also has large extensibility that it can extend and update as the network security technology and equipment develop, which owns good application prospect as well as experimental teaching significance.
