Along with video,digital TV,IPTV popularity of high-bandwidth multimedia applications,People will continue to improve network bandwidth and stability requirements.The traditional ADSL or LAN access methods can no longer meet the needs of everyday applications.Ethernet-based Passive Optical Networks(EPON)is the one-to-multipoint optical access network,users can provide reliable data,voice and video services,and its bandwidth is much larger than the traditional access network technology.At the same time for network operators,EPON has the ability to conduct multi-service,and the potential for network expansion,and it can also cut down the cost for the network operators.EPON is thebest Choose for the next-generation broadband access network technology.This article describes the structure of EPON system,Implementation Principle,key technologies,and introduced EPON Network Management System.This article Study the EPON system in the customer access network of public and important customer、business customer access network and video surveillance in variety of implementations.Finally the use of actual networking examples in logistics center to illustrate the EPON technology has become the best technology for broadband access network.
