This paper taking the new immigrants of Hangzhou as the research object, reference to relevant research results of past studies, mainly through the questionnaire to conduct research, including measuring the demographic characteristics, media use, social integration status, subjective well-being, in order to explore the connect of social media usage and social integration, subjective well-being of the new immigrants in Hangzhou.The study sample size was 204 and the sample of the general was featured with high-income, highly educated.The main findings are as follows:In demographic terms,Gender, Residence in Hangzhou, frequency of use of the Internet, information production, access to information are significant predictors of life satisfaction.Residence in Hangzhou have a better prediction for social identity, social relations, the breadth and the depth of social networking.In the aspect of the intensity of the social media, the number of microblogging fans and microblogging use life are significant predictors of the breadth and the depth of the social networking; Social networking sites use life can be positively predicted social networking breadth. Dependence of social media use significantly predict social identity and social participation.In the aspect of social media usage patterns, information production can be positively predicted the depth of social networking, emotional balance, life satisfaction; the more information production, the less loneliness. The more Social function used, the more greater the breadth of social networking, the higher the degree of social participation; Access to information can negatively predict social networking breadth and life satisfaction.The enhancement of the social identity will affect life satisfaction, which affects the subjective well-being as well. |
