As a dynamic self-organizing, self-configuring and multi-hop network architecture with high capacity, high speed and high reliability, Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) is an important tool for the wireless terminal to access to the Internet, becoming a hot research in recent years. But as there is the phenomenon of channel competition between adjacent nodes in WMN, channel interference exist between adjacent links, so the throughput of the network will be limited. Therefore, research on channel interference in WMN will help to improve the channel utilization, throughput and performance of the network. Multi-interface multi-channel technology can greatly enhance the throughput of the network, but if the channel allocation or routing is unreasonable, various degrees of channel interference will still exit in the network, resulting in the reduction of network throughput.Based on the recent research results in the field of channel interference, this paper concretely introduces and analyzes the channel allocation algorithms, routing protocols and routing criteria in WMN. By studying the related results, the paper presents an evaluation indicator for radio channel interference in WMN, and proposes the Distributed Dynamic Channel Allocation scheme (DDCA) and the Route Channel Interference Evaluation criteria (RCIE) using the evaluation indicator. DDCA is to make the link with heavy load use the channel with low degree of interference and can dynamically adjust the channel allocation according to the changes of load and traffic in the network. RCIE is to choose the path with the smallest accumulation of channel interference on all links of the path. The paper implements the DDCA and RCIE respectively on NS2platform, simulates in different network scenarios, including network with different numbers of random nodes and two gateway nodes and at last analyzes the results. The results show that the use of DDCA and RCIE make load balancing for the network, reducing the internal channel interference in WMN, increase the throughput and performance of network.
