With the rapid development of Internet and Computer, data traffic on Internet increases explosively, so does demand of broad band services, such as IP,VOD,E2C,video conference. Under this circumstance, the existing transmission network can not meet the requirements of network development. For the reason that IP traffic is uncertain, burst, unpredictable, as well as the demand of network bandwidth increases obviously, the requirements of dynamic allocation of network bandwidth are also increasingly higher. In order to meet the needs of the development of this network, Intelligent Optical Network come into being. The optical network technology of SDH and WDM is integrated with the intelligent network technology based on IP and formed the Automatic Switched Optical Network(ASON). ASON imports control panel, uses mesh network configuration, advances the intelligence and survivability of optical network, it makes the network using a variety of survival technology more flexibly. Therefore, the study of intelligent optical network survivability technique has important significance.This thesis focuses on survivability issues of ASON. Based on the analysis of the survivability technical characteristics in traditional network, this paper studies the survival mechanisms of ASON, the implementation of GMPLS-based survival technologies, and SLA issue in ASON. The main works and results of this thesis are as below.First, his paper overviews the network survival techniques, and then compares the survival technique among IP network, SDH network, WDM and ASON. Analysis of protection and restoration mechanism in ASON has been given. Based on the realization of the intelligent optical network GMPLS fault recovery mechanism, the study represent the relationship of several protection and restoration mechanisms.Second, the definition and characteristics of service level agreement (SLA) are researched, and based on the analysis of the different survive mechanisms in Intelligent Optical Network, this paper proposes Differentiated Service Strategy in intelligent optical network. This strategy meet the SLA, and can make help for operators to implement the SLA services.Finally, the several path protection of ASON are studied, and the concept and principle of path protection of SRLG are expounded, and the available SRLG. disjoint path protection algorithms are analyzed. Aimed at the common problem of "Trap" encountered in SRLG-disjoint path protection, lack of support for differentiated service reliability and performance in complexity of the algorithm, this paper proposes an improved algorithm for SRLG-disjoint protection path computation. This algorithm can support the differentiated service, using Iterative method to avoid SRLG trap. The emulation results show that the improved algorithm has good performance.
