Waste transfer center is the place of garbage classification, weighing, compaction,and transfer. It can not only avoid the pollution of the environment, but also save theprecious land resources. Now, most of the Waste transfer centers do not have thefunction of waste classification, and could not realize the completely automaticcontrol. In this traditional mode, the low working efficiency, high rate error, and thewaste of resources have restricted its application.In view of this situation, it must design a new control system for the Wastetransfer centre. This system includes two patterns of manual control mode andautomatic control mode. So, it ensures that system can allow the garbage trucks toenter the station and finish all the work procedures, in the case of someone or no onehere. At the same time, putting the enter time, license plate number, weights and otherinformation into the database automatically. With this, it can make data inquire andgarbage trend observed conveniently.In the control system, the two sets of PLC is the core of control, PC is the core ofmonitoring and information management. We complete the control system withmultiple other devices, such as sensors, card reader. The state of the way gate, trafficlights, text display screens and the information transmitting is under the control ofPLC. PC which used the Delphi7as the development tool, completes design of datamanagement system. It uses a serial port communication control-MSComm,completing communication of PC and PLC. In addition, according to system needs,PC has the real time monitoring form, which can vividly and real-time monitor eachlink of the system.It also has parameters settings form, user management form, etc,which making its function more powerful.Since the installation, the control system has run securely, steadily and efficiently.The fact has proved that this system has characteristics of automation, high efficiency,low error rates. And it can fully meet the engineering requirements.
