With the increase of the data in wireless communication, the broadband transmission system isused widely in recent years. But in the multi-carrier communication system, the peak to averagepower ratio is high; it demands the amplifier having good linearization and affects its application.Therefore, the single-carrier broadband system becames the main way in wireless communicationsystem.However, in the traditional single-carrier communication system, the power of multipath aregreat, which will result in serious inter-symbol interference. More importantly, the number of symbolscorresponding to the multipath delay is also large, making complexity of existing channel estimationand equalization methods increase drastically. That is to say, traditional methods can’t meet theengineering needs in these conditions.Aiming at single-carrier frequency domain equalization system, this paper do research in keytechnologies of synchronization method and channel estimation and equalization applied to particularchannel and propose a program of fenquency domain channel estimation and equalization. Then wewill design software program based on hardware description language to solve multipath issue basdeon FPGA. Main work of this paper is as follows:1. Study the model and features of the multipath fading channel and simulate the typical Clarkemodel.2. Propose a synchronization scheme for the strong power and large delay multipath fadingchannel taking use of the correlation of Zadoff_Chu sequence.3. Realize a fenquency domain channel estimation method taking use of the constant amplitudeof Zadoff_Chu sequence.4. Based on the implemention of channel estimation and estimating SNR, we resolved themultipath interference using fenquency domain channel equalization based on MMSE.5. Implement the design and debugging on the FPGA, and test it roundly.The single-carrier frequency domain equalization system in this paper resolved multipathinterference and could work well in bad external environment. The system has high application valueand more research work on channel estimation and equalization could be launched.
