In the process of production syringe, unqualified products might be producted because of all sorts of reasons, such as syringe needle upside-down charged, in the syringe’s intracavity had impurity, pushing rod missed. Once these unqualified syringes flows into the market, it is not only the reputation of the manufacturer be drop, but also it made damage to the patient’s mental and physical health. Therefore, in view of this situation, we should take corresponding measures to reduce the probability of the unqualified syringe flows into the market. At present, manufacturers regardless of domestic and overseas all using worker to detected the syringe qualified or not. But, false and miss detection always be happened because of worker’s tired working, it is could not assured the qualified rate of syringe. A detection method be put forward to judge syringe’s qualified, in order to improve the rate of syringe and the detection speed, reduce the cost of syringe. This paper primary tested four kind of defects of syringe include needle upside-down charged, the impurity in the scale area,pushing rod and black rubber missed, and the technology of digital image processing is introduced into the syringe image detection. The research’s main contents are as follows:①In the detection of syringe needle upside-down charged, first we should adopted some image preprocessing method to filtered out the noise of the image and enhanced the quality of the image, such as binary and sharpening the needle of the syringe image. Then find out the needle tip as the interested, applied the method of the template matching and the needle’s flip as the template, calculation the relativity of them that is standard to judge whether the needle as inversion.②The detection of syringe which were the impurity in the scale area, pushing rod and black rubber missed. First, the edge detection of the syringe apply the prewitt operator, then, compare of push rod and the distance between the two wings to judge missing case according to the push rod length characteristics, this is the method of detection the syringe pushing rod missing. The detection of the syringe’s black rubber missing have this step, made the syringe image binary, then calculated the area size of the binary image to judge wether the black rubber missing which used the area characteristics of the black rubber. The detection of the scale of syringe, extracted the syringe inner cavity as the interested region according to the position of the rubber and two wings, the method of morphological binary was used to binary the inner of syringe, parallel scale be pick up by the method of the hough for straight line detection, and marking of scale, scanned every row of the area of the scale of the syringe, if the point is not zero and the scale, it is must be the impurity.
