Abstract/Summary:
An enterprise in the continuous process of development has accumulated vast amounts of information, the information they constitute a valuable business asset for business. However, the lack of effective management of information often makes such information ignored, so that the accumulation of information cannot be effective for integration and utilization. Today, more and more companies are building a library of knowledge to resolve the current situation. Knowledge Management System (KPMS) as a knowledge repository of information integrated solution that provides the full service, which includes the knowledge of screening and classification. KPMS provides a very high reference value for the development of enterprises.This thesis briefly introduces the basic concepts of KPMS, research status and significance of their research to the industry. And then, the thesis gives overview about the architecture of the Lotus Domino database, Lotus Domino Web application running principle, user management mechanism and system security, and introduced Xpage technology, which is mainly used in the presentation layer.Secondly, this thesis which uses an IT company’s KPMS as the background, analysis the requirement of the KPMS system and model the system with UML technology based on object‐oriented Methodology. Then, according to the KPMS system’s analysis of use case, to complete the KPMS system’s architecture design and the system’s flow design, and design the KPMS system’s classes and subsystem on the basis of these designs. During the implementation of the system, the KPMS is based on document database, use Agent to control the data flow of the system and use Xpages to show the interface of the system. The structure of KPMS is based on B/S, the system can clearly show the architecture of MVC based on combined using of View Forms, View Pages and Agent.Thirdly, the thesis gives the comparison between the Lotus Domino system based on Xpages and the traditional Lotus Domino system. The results indicate, the Lotus Domino system based on Xpages in the system’s operating efficiency, the system’s interface and the system’s future maintenance is much better than the traditional system. Finally, give conclusion on the contents of the thesis, and discuss future research.
