The digital audio watermarking offers a solution to copyright violation problems. Thedigital audio holds a greater proportion in the multimedia products, and thus digital audiowatermarking research is of much practical significance, especially in the digital broadcastsystems, it has broad application prospects.The following problems have existed in digital audio watermarking and need studyingfurther:1) There are many documents about wavelet transform of the digital audio watermarkingalgorithm, but there are a lot of deficiencies. For instance: some algorithm is not blind detectionor robust character is insufficient.2) The research on fragile audio watermark is not deep enough, there are less documentdiscussed how to locate the tamper of audio files.3) There are less audio watermarking algorithms focuses on bitstream audio.Based on the analysis, comparison and test of existing digital audio watermarkingalgorithms, some digital audio watermarking algorithms are proposed and improved asfollowing:1) The fragile audio watermarking algorithm based on psychoacoustic auditory model. Thewatermark is embedded in wavelet packet domain. Because of considering about thepsychoacoustic auditory model, this watermark is transparency. And the experiment resultsvalidate that this algorithm is fragile and it can used for locating tampers.2) The digital audio watermarking algorithm based on energy comparison.. This algorithmis robustness and transparency, and the detection watermarking is blind. It can resist the normalsingle processing tampers like adding noise, re-sampling, low-pass filtering and MPEGcompression. 3) The fragile audio watermarking of MPEG-2AAC bitstream. The algorithm ofwatermark embedding is carried out by using the characters of the compression algorithm. Forattaining better transparency this method is enhanced by considering the watermark’sdistribution in frequency and the perceptual entropy of host audio.These audio watermarking algorithms above can be used in broadcast and TV monitoringsystems. According the different characters, it can be used for different purpose, fragilewatermark can be used in content integrity protection, and the robust watermark can be used incopyright protection.
