Optical negative feedback system is an optical information processing technologythat introduced the concept of negative feedback from the electrical counterpart. Theconcerned research is also an innovative attempt to extend the concept of negativefeedback from one-dimension to two-dimension. Different from traditional adaptiveoptics systems, optical negative feedback system is a closed-loop system with fulloptical methods in the physical, which avoids light path partition by electrical devices.In this sense, a two-dimensional optical negative feedback system is built on thephysical optics closed-loop, not just on the logic closed-loop. The system is an valuableinformation processing one achieving light speed processing, with the overcoming ofsystem speed bottleneck by electrical devices.In this paper, the main technical aspects of an optical negative feedback systemwere theoretical analyzed in detail. The research of this system is mainly from thefollowing there aspects: the optical amplifier technology, optical phase controltechnology and optical negative feedback system model. The targeted analysis of themain technical aspects and several core theories have also been simulated with thepurpose of realizing two-dimensional optical feedback system. The main contents of thepaper are as follows:①Comprehensive description of the key technologies to realize atwo-dimensional optical negative feedback system: the phase control technology, opticalamplifing technology and the model of the nonlinear closed-loop resonator aresummarized.②Several major optical amplification technologies are reviewed, the performancecomparison of various amplification methods is made and a suitable amplificationmethod for the system is obtained.③Phase control in the two-dimensional optical system: the theoretical analysisand software simulation of service wave front reconstruction technique is made, and theliquid crystal material in the phase control technology is analyzed.④Based on the theory of nonlinear optical resonator, a model oftwo-dimensional optical negative feedback system is built and valuable conclusions isdrawn with the help of software simulation.The innovation of the paper lies in: ①An all-optical superposition method of the optical phase is proposed. Thedevice itself does not require additional non-optical auxiliary unit, achieving thefunction in pure optical way. Theoretical analysis and computational simulation of thebasic framework principles are also made to prove the feasibility of the program. Thisscheme can be used as a phase calculating unit in optical computing, and also be used asan optical beam connector which can make the phase information kept.②The preliminary theoretical model of the system based on the nonlinearresonator structures is constructed and a method to control the inter-modulationphenomena of optical image’s amplitude and phase is got with the help of thesimulation.
