MIMO-OFDM is a kind of high-speed wireless transmission technology which hasprospect of widely application. The space-time/frequency coding plays an importantrole in the study of MIMO-OFDM system which is widely attention. Space time blockcoding which is the most widely applied in space-time coding mainly includes:Orthogonal space-time coding which suitable for less antenna number and decodingsimply and Quasi-orthogonal space-time block coding which apply to more antennanumber and has the higher encoding speed. Space-frequency coding can be structuredbased on the above two kinds of space-time block coding.The paper analysis theorthogonal and quasi-orthogonal space-frequency coding technology in MIMO-OFDMsystem and make the performance simulation, and discuss the cooperationcommunication technology based on the distributed space-frequency coding. The mainpurpose of the work is making comprehensive evaluation of the performance of thetypical space-frequency coding through the theoretical derivation and performancesimulation. The paper also discuss the combination space-frequency coding withcooperation relay. The paper focus on the research and analysis of the space-frequencycoding,taking chongqing science research project (CSTC,2011AB2044) forbackground,the main work is as follows:(1)The paper firstly introduce the pairs error probability of space-time coding andthe performance based on the Craig formula through the analysis in Chernoffdomain,which conclude the analysis of the coding standards and the performance indexin different channel models. The paper discuss the pairs error probability ofspace-frequency coding and the performance bound which based on complex Gaussianvariable and the Pole distribution of characteristic matrix method in space-frequencycoding,and thus deduce the coding standards of the space-frequency coding.(2)Review the classic Alamouti and its expanding to the complex orthogonaldesign,at the same time,this paper introduce the traditional quasi-orthogonal space timeblock coding and take some improvement,which effectively improved the systemperformance and reduced the decoding complexity. The simulation demonstrated thespace-frequency coding based on the Alamouti in mapping principle obtained full-rateand full-diversity, the space-frequency coding based on the improved quasi-orthogonalspace-time block coding, which apply the pole distribution of the complex Gaussian variable characteristic matrix, obtain full rate and full diversity and reduce the decodingcomplexity, and also improve the system performance effectively.(3)Finally,the paper analyze three kinds of forwarding agreements of thecooperation communication in briefly,introduce the design method of space-frequencycoding in detail which encode respectively in source and relay node,and deduce thedesign conditions of obtaining full diversity in relay and destination respectively intheory.At the last,the paper put forward the method of combining the distributedspace-frequency coding and the strategy in cooperation communication.The simulationsdemonstrate that the cooperation communication based on the distributedspace-frequency coding which more effectively improve the system performance.
