With the development of information age, network technology has been widelyapplied into various fields. While providing facilitating communication, the advancednetwork technology results in requirements on information secure storage andtransmission. As a supplementary of traditional encryption technology, informationhiding technique hides secret information in public media to achieve hiding theexistence of the secret information, which shows the unique advantage and broadapplication prospect in the field of information security. With the advantages ofmulti-dimensions, high capacity, high robustness, and inherent capability for parallelprocessing, optical technique has been widely used in information security in recentyears.This thesis depends on National Natural Science Fund Project—key technologiesresearch of image hiding and analysis base-on optical techniques and discussesinformation hiding base on Optics by digital way to simulate optical process (virtualOptics). Research mainly on hiding secret text and image into public image usingdouble random phase encoding and implement the software. The main tasks are as thefollowing.(1) First of all, introduce the basic principles and related technologies ofinformation hiding, highlighting the techniques of information hiding base on opticalinformation process, especially its application in the field of information hiding.(2) A new algorithm to hide secret text into public image base on double randomphase encoding was proposed. Due to the human visual redundancy, it’s unnecessary torecover secret image precisely. As the special nature of the text, any algorithm to hidesecret text must recover the secret exactly. At first, the algorithm encrypts the text, andthen translates the encrypted text into a special two-dimensional matrix. Then put theencrypted text into the top m bits of each element in the matrix. And then hide thematrix into public image after encoding with double random phase encoding. Bytheoretical analysis and experimental verification, discuss the relationship between theways of text transformation, hiding parameters and hiding capacity, recovery accuracy,quality of stego-image, the algorithm of rationality and validity.(3) Another new algorithm to hide secret image using traditional LSB and doublerandom phase encoding. First of all, translate the secret image into a matrix to save the top bits of secret image. Then hide the matrix into public image after double randomphase encoding. And then hide the median value of secret image into the image obtainedby the forward step using LSB. Compared with the existed algorithm base on doublerandom phase encoding, the new one can improve the quality of recovered image.(4) Finally, design and implement the software to encrypt and hide secret text baseon double random phase encoding, and then show the implementation effect.Results of this research improve the information hiding technique base on doublerandom phase encoding, and also promote research progress of similar technology.
