As a part of navigation system basic architecture, high quality design of signal system leadto good performance of the whole system. And signal modulation and multiplexing are importantparts of signal system. The promotion of Global Navigation Satellite System means theestablishment of pluralism GNSS will be the development tendency in this field. Because of thelimited satellite navigation system’s frequency band distributed by InternationalTelecommunications Union, the contended for frequency band resource is getting drastic. TheUSA has already started to upgrade GPS to keep top place in satellite navigation field and makeefficient use of limited band, signal system innovation, which is one of the most important. Asemerging navigation systems, the EU’s Galileo and our country’s Compass put focus on designof navigation signal system of good performance at just the beginning of development. The thesis is mainly divided into two parts. The first part analysis some factors, powerspectrum density, autocorrelation function, code tracking accuracy and multipath error, whichinfluence navigation signal performance, by theory and model building, then give themathematical expression. Then analysis two signal multiplexing modes, Interplex and CASM,and provides an optimizing Interplex structure. The calculation of power spectrum density and autocorrelation function is the same astraditional communication system, by using Fourier Transform and Wiener-Khintchine Theorem. We use the model which presented by John Betz of American when analysis code trackingaccuracy. And give the equation with the parameters of code loop bandwidth, channel’s transferfunction, receiver bandwidth, signal power spectrum density and noise power spectrum density.Considering the navigation signal as narrowband signal, we give out the multipath error equationwith the parameters of autocorrelation function, multipath signal fading coefficient, multipathdelay and correlated interval. Research on power spectrum density, autocorrelation function, multipath error and code tracking performance of BOC, MBOC and AltBOC signal bysimulation and compare their application in different navigation system.Present the optimizing Interplex architecture based on Interplex presented by S Butman andUZI Timor of American. Derive multiplexing efficiency and loss ratio of carrier to noiseequation with the parameters of signal power, power spectrum density and ratio of carrier tonoise. Analysis performance using optimizing Interplex based on GalileoE1and Compass B1channel.
