The software architecture of Meta Process Instance Generator is explored based on the researchand development of Cooperative Work Platform Service in this paper, which aimed to established aprocess instance generator software model that can be shared freely. With the guidance ofObject-oriented methodology and the help of UML, this paper presents domain analysis, design andimplementation of MPIG, and use methods such as meta-process and role-based collaboration tooptimize its software architecture.At first, through the analysis of the workflow meta-model, a new Meta-process ConfigurationModel was given. In the mean time a meta-process description template was given. Then, discussedthe concepts of instance generate and given a model description of instance generate. Followed bydiscuss of namespace technology and role-based collaboration, and then proposed the role/namespacetechnology model. Finally, a template description of BPEL process was given.Then, the requirements analysis of MPIG was presented. Through the analysis of the domainrequirements to build the function model of MPIG. Then, the use case diagram and activity diagram ofthe MPIG has been established combine with UML tools. Besides, the process of role/namespacedefinition and instance generate has been described by BPEL.Next, the domain design of MPIG was presented. Using the software design methods ofobject/component-oriented, the object structure model of MPIG has been built. Moreover, the objectstructure was optimized by many optimize methods. Then, the behaviors of the object in the systemwere described by the interaction model and the state model of the object.Finally, the development platform of the software and the configuration of the runtimeenvironment were given. Moreover, given the component diagram of the system and combined withthe object structure of the MPIG and makes reliability description for each component by ACME.Later on, the java codes of the typical application in the system were given.The process description templates and the framework and optimize method of models in thispaper, which are used in the development of MPIG software, improved effectively and specificationsof software development. So it has theoretical significance and engineering practical value.
