In recent years, with software radio technology continues to be mature, the softwarereceiver becomes a new research area in global positioning system receiver. Intermediatefrequency data collector makes an important part of the software receiver, its function is toreceive GPS satellite signals and stored it on your computer. For the software receiver, theIntermediate frequency data collector is the only hardware. This paper is to develop GPSintermediate data collector.Firstly, this paper introduces the GPS satellite signals constitute, and focused on theIntermediate frequency data collector overall design. According to the data collectorrequirements, the paper analyzed the collector hardware and software. According to designrequirements, the implementation program of GPS IF data collector based on USB2.0hasbeen determined. Using the GP2015, EP2C35F484C8and the CY7C68013chip as the core,carried on the research of the hardware circuit, and described the design and implementationof frond-out, FPGAand USB interface had in detail. In software, carried on FPGA logicdesign, optimization and validation by using Quartus II, developed the USB firmware in KeilPlatform, and written PC program in VC++platform. Finally, this paper described theoverall system test and analyzed the problems.Through validating the system test, it shows that the GPS intermediate frequency datacollector can receiver the data currently. Make the experiment of positioning by using the IFdata files which is collected, results show that the design can save the GPS IF data completelyand the data meet requirement of GPS satellite signal process.
