Image encryption is one of the important contents of multimedia information security,which has been the focus of attention. In recent years, because of the limitation of traditionalencryption algorithms, from the characteristics of image themselves, people have put forwardsome new encryption algorithms.With the emergence of various algorithms against, theencryption algorithm’s security and efficiency need highly to be further improved.Chaos system ideally suits for encryption system because it has the features boundedness,randomness, ergodicity and initial value sensitivity; Image encryption system is required toprocess great the amount of data and the real-time performance in the application. The thesispresents the research of image encryption algorithm with chaotic sequences based on FPGA.Chapter1presents the research background, current status of chaotic image encryption, and theworks of this study. Chapter2briefly chaos theory and then the description of the basiccharacteristics of the Jerk system. The randomness of the chaotic sequence which was producedby the chaotic system was validated. In chapter3by using chaotic pseudo random sequence thethesis proposes the new image encryption algorithm from the image scrambling and imagediffusion,and the algorithm increases resistance against plaintext attack by using ciphertextfeedback.Finally, through the encrypted image parameter analysis and comparison,the studyshows advantage of the encryption system security. In addition, according to the correlation ofadjacent pixels, presents the anti-interference decryption algorithm.Chapter4introduces theencryption system based on FPGA modules classification, and each module designed process.Itmainly include solving module of discrete Jerk system and the image encryption module basedon Chaos pseudo random sequence.The results show that the encryption system based on FPGAmeets the real-time requirement and has good flexibility. Finally, the main results andconclusions of the researches was summarized, and some suggestions for future works wasproposed. This paper have two innovations. First, the security of encryption algorithm proposedin this thesis is good,and the anti-interference ability is strong.Second,it assured real-timehardware encryption through renewed definition format and improved algorithm of fixed-pointand floating-point number.
