The Fabrication And Application Of Optical Fiber Grating

With the development of fiber grating on the theory and manufacturing process, thetype is increasing. It has been widely used in optical fiber communication and sensor, andits high applied value attracts intensive concern. In this paper, its production andapplication in optical fiber lasers and sensor are researched.Firstly, the development, classification, and making technology of fiber grating isintroduced. Then the feature and production of photonic crystal fiber grating areelaborated. Moreover the application of fiber grating sensor in many industry fields aredescribed. The theoretical analysis method of fiber grating and numerical analysis methodof photonic crystal fibers and are analyzed.Secondly, the photosensitization technique of hydrogen-loaded fiber is studied. Thesystem is designed and manufactured. Then the method of making fiber grating includingthe uniform fiber Bragg grating, apodized fiber grating, chirped fiber gratings,phase-shifted fiber grating, tilted fiber grating, sampled fiber grating, is researched andfinished.Thirdly, based on finite element method and coupled-mode theory, the grapefruitphotonic crystal fiber are studied in theory and the transmission spectrum is analyzed. Theinfluence of the structure change of the fiber on the reflection spectrum is simulated. Thenthe fabrication technology of photonic crystal fiber grating is studied. Experimental datawhich is consistent with simulation numerical value is got.Finally, the application of fiber grating in optical fiber laser and sensor areresearched. The sensing characteristics of fiber grating is analyzed and the simultaneousmeasuremen to strain and temperature is studied in theory and experiment. Then theanalysis on the theory of Er-doped fiber lasers is given. After that the simulation andexperimental results are obtained.
