| Ultrasonic testing is a very important method in the field of nondestructive testing, which has been widely used in machine manufacture, petrochemical, defense industry and so on. In recent years, Ultrasonic Testing Systems (UTS) are becoming more intelligent and automatic. Based on the developing of digital UTS, this paper presents a software solution of 8-channel UTS.The hardware of 8-channel UTS is based on ARM+FPGA. The software is designed and implemented in detail, according to the hardware structure. The main work of this paper includes:1.Embedded Linux is chosen as the embedded operating system. And Qt/Embedded is chosen as Graphical User Interface (GUI) library. The Linux kernel and QT library are cut and transplanted , according to the system requirements.2.To improve the maintainability and transportability, the application software is developed with hierarchical design and modular design. The application software is divided into 3 layers from bottom to up: the device driver layer, the main functions layer and the display interface layer. Every layer is divided into several modules.3.Introduce and study on some functions of the 8-channel UTS, including the 8-channel real-time wave data transmission, the 8-channel real-time audio and shining alarming system, the wave peak memorization , the automatic gain control, and so on .4.Complete all design and development of software codes. Fix the crashes occurred during test. Solve the practical problems raised by users. The system already has some commercial applications. Application results show that this software is stable, easy to operate, and meet the design requirements.In the end, the paper summarizes the design work, and makes future vision of application technology for UTS. |
