The realities of social politics, economy and culture after China’s joining in theWTO and the educational revolution of the elementary schools and middle schoolsurge the establishment of the appropriate education of the awareness of the rules.This is a contemporary and urgent topic.However, up till now, this is not paid enoughattention to. Meanwhile, the related research is not adequate and the practical effectof education is not obvious.That is the reason why I begin the research.The thesis begins with thetheoretical analysis of the middle school students’ formation of the awareness ofrules. In the theories of Piaget and Kohlberg, it indicates that middle school period isthe most important period of moral development and it puts forward the basictheory.The awareness of the rules play a vital role in people’s moral development. Ithas a great effect on the social development of people.At the same time, it is quiterelated to the moral education in middle school period, like the education of behavior,citizenship education, the education of responsibility, etc.The thesis focuses on the practical exploration. First, questionnaire. It analyzesnowadays situations and reasons.Second, setting up the structure of the contents ofthe education of awareness of the rules of each grade, including the subjects ofmiddle school students’ communication at school and in society and the outline ofmiddle school students’ self-defined rules and the educational books of middleschool students’ awareness of rules.Third, the research of the strategy. Apart fromthe traditional educational methodology, the thesis follows the access of theappearance of the rules, i.e. the formation of the rules(including the comprehensionof the rules), the consensus of the rules, the adaption the the rules, the implement ofthe rules, the maintenance of the rules(adjustment). It begins with the practice. Itsets up the operation mode of self-defined rules and applies the rules. It discussesthe five disciplines that must be obeyed. It emphasizes the two aspects that are likelyto be neglected and misunderstood easily during the implement of the rules.Fourth,the three segments of the self-defined rules. These evaluate middle school students’ awareness of the rules.
