It is known to all that classical Chinese language is thecrystallization of the wisdom of our intelligent ancestors. And itsteaching is being paid special attention to during today’s Chineseteaching of every stage. Just as the Chinese syllabus and the newcurriculum has emphasized, it is of great importance to teachingclassical Chinese in Senior Middle School. Going through a greatnumber of the studies of Chinese language teaching, the author findsthat the study of classical Chinese language teaching is always the hottopic. With the strengthening of elementary education reform andthe implementation of the new curriculum, more and more teachersare showing great interest in this field. However, almost all theteachers agree that we have great difficulty in the teaching of classicalChinese language. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every Chineseteacher to do some research to find effective measures to create a newtype of class which is beneficial to the development of the students.Ancient Chinese teaching in senior middle school is faced withnew opportunities and challenges. In the teaching research, only whenthe teaching method research is based on students’ learning andteachers’ teaching can it be more meaningful and valuable. Guided bythe new curriculum standard, this paper analyzes the reason whyancient Chinese teaching leaves behind, and talks about the solutionspecifically in combination with practice. First of all, it forms theawareness of ancient Chinese teaching in senior middle schoolthrough the literature research. And it also reviews the traditionalclassical Chinese reading teaching and summarizes the teachingpractice of the modern and contemporary classical Chinese reading.Analyzing the situation in the writing in classical style teaching after the reform, this paper expounds the influence of the newcurriculum standard on classical Chinese reading.Next, get a good command of the general situation aboutstudents’ learning and teachers’ teaching ancient Chinese in Wuhai No.10middle school by having talks with teachers and students andcarrying out questions. Based on teachers’ teaching and students’learning, discover and analyze several problems on teaching ancientChinese reading as well as its present situation under the newcurriculum reform. Finally, find their solutions in terms and chooseproper teaching ways, and have a good knowledge of its conditions,range, strong-points and weaknesses etc. It is also essential to knowtheir internal connections. Only in this way, can a teacher providestudents as much they really need as possible. Of this part, thestatement about my understanding and practicing of relevant expertsand other teachers’ researching experience are included. On the otherhand, a stressed point, my own class-teaching readers and reflectionsare also presented.Teenager students are at the state of being curious, being eagerfor knowledge and exploring knowledge. If the teacher’s method isappropriate for their study, their interest in learning classical Chinesewill be improved, thus enhancing the learning efficiency. In turn,students’ learning effectiveness can promote teachers’ teaching level.In a word, teaching and learning are both improved, thus makingChinese teaching develop.By studying the peculiarity classical Chinese and the influenceof syllabus on classical Chinese teaching, the author has tried her bestto put theory into practice depending on the students’ real learningsituation and teachers’ guidance. In this way, the author hopes to offersome suggestions and thought which are useful and easy to operate so that the students’ capacity of learning classical Chinese can be greatlyimproved.
