The new high school curriculum reform has begun to be carried out oneafter another in eachprovince of the entire country, at the same time, the newmusic curriculum has been scheduled as a compulsory course in senior highschool, which will undoubtedly be a strong push forwardfor the basiceducation stage, among which module division of teaching content to be thelargest reform highlights.But in the implementation of the module teaching, prominent problemsare growing. From the research on the theory and practice of senior schoolmusic teaching point of view, the current research on high school musicteaching home and abroad mainly focuses on teaching methods, strategies,appreciation of module teaching suggestions, professional subjects teachingresearchand etc.In recent years, throughout the country, there generally exist hysteresis insenior high schoolmusic appreciation (Compulsory) teaching and shortage inhigh school music elective module teaching. To adapt to the requirements ofthe curriculum reform, to earnestly conduct the compulsory module, to striveto provide elective modules, as well as to effectively improve the quality ofteaching are an important research topic that the ordinary high school faces,and needsto be studied and solved urgently.This paper aims to research music courses offering, instructor’s teachingand research, and the use of teaching materials; as well as students’ musicalbackground, learning attitude and motivation in Hohhot City high schools,meaning to learn the condition of current music teachingprovided in seniorhigh schools of Hohhot city from mutiple perspectives. And hope to provideinspiration and help to Hohhot city high school music teachers’ smoothly conducting each teaching module.This dissertation consists of introduction, theory, and ending three parts.The introduction part defines the origin of his research. Based on the analysison module teachingmethod of high school music domesticly and foreignly,and in Hohhot City, he proposes the research object and method.Theory part is divided into three chapters.The first chapter: he expounds the theoretical basis for a all-inclusiveconversion to the module method of teaching high school music---contents,characteristics, teaching concept of modulesand the effect of the interactionamong them.The second chapter:to conduct a survey, under the new course reform, onthe current condition of module teaching of music offered by general Hohhothigh schools, to discuss fromaspects, such as the background of the survey,basic content of the survey and the analysis ofresults from the survey.The third chapter: combine the music teaching research with the localcharacteristics, change ofteaching mode, teaching faculty promotion andutilization and so on to discuss the strategies toimprove the smoothimplementation of music module teaching in general Hohhot high schools,namely the strategies to conduct the the compulsory module earnestly, and tostrive to provideelective modules.The ending part summary.
