Curriculum resource is an essential part of reforms in basic education, aswell as the necessary part to make sure about the implement of the newcurriculum. The Outline of Reforms in Curriculum of Basic EducationalReforms and the Standards of Curriculum of Chemistry of CompulsoryEducation has been pointed out to be positive and appropriate in the researchand development of local curriculum.Inner Mongolia is a habitation for especially Mongolian people. TheMongolians have a long and characteristic history. They have their own diets, costumes, and buildings which are very different from others. Therefore, thereare several of resources of curriculum with local characteristics here. If wecould take advantage of those characteristics, strengthen the ethnic educationof chemistry, and make proper use of them, it could not only inspireMongolian student’s interest in chemistry, but also develop their ability ofresearch. And at last, it can promote the persistence and development ofethnic culture. As it is, it has a deep and long effect on the promotion ofeducation in Inner Mongolia and its reforms in curriculum. This dissertation will conclude the significances of the research and therelated results in domestic area under the guide of theory of literature review, constructivism and cognitive learning theory. As to the problems in teachingin Mongolian middle school, this dissertation uses a survey to do the research, which is about how chemistry teachers and sophomore students in the highschool attached to the Inner Mongolian modern university know about thenew curriculum. It also will analyze the condition of the teaching materialsused now. And then, according to the principal that we should develop andmake use of ethnic curriculum, this dissertation will combine and analyze theparts of Mongolian culture and chemistry teaching materials, and compare most of the teaching examples in student’s book and the developed parts oflessons with Mongolian characteristics. And at last, it will design lessons withMongolian characteristics particularly in chemistry classes.Above all, we can draw a conclusion that teachers don’t adapt to thenew materials after educational reform. They don’t know much about the newcurriculum due to their busy work. Apart from that, it can not be appliedbecause the authorities and schools pay less attention to it and there is a lackof money. Fortunately, we have already realized the necessity of developingthe ethnic cultural chemistry class. Students are very interested in thechemistry questions related to the real life. Therefore, I think if we couldcombine chemistry knowledge with ethnic culture, it would help them tounderstand it. As it is, from the view of the development of students, thisdissertation creates new lessons with ethnic features and designs twoinstructional classes. Through the comparing between the used examples anddeveloped examples, I realized that some samples such as milk, fermentedhouse milk and so on could exactly reflect the related chemistry knowledgethey need. As a result, we can conclude that lessons with ethnic culture can beapplied to real teaching process. The development and usage of chemistry curriculum with Mongolianwill be good for students to use chemistry knowledge not only to solveproblems in practice, but also good for them to improve their ability ofsolving practical chemical questions. At last, it can show the overall purposeof new standards of curriculum as well as its referential effect of Mongolianstudent’s chemistry education.
