Sending Students to America by Utilizing the Boxer Indemnity was the important event in the history of Studying Abroad. It opened the tide of Sino-US cultural exchanges in the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China.They constitute the backbone of the first boom of the studying in America in the Early Republic of China.Some of them became well-known scholar. It has a profound effect on Modern Chinese society.Tsinghua School Admissions is according to the Proportion of apportion the Boxer Indemnity. It launched the movement of Sending Students to America in Henan. A group of Henan’ students Admitted to Tsinghua by taking the test of the Educational institutions of Henan provinces and participate in the Tsinghua School’s examination. They accept the U.S. preparatory educations which were focus in English and modern Western disciplines. Henan students studied hard during the school. Because of their experience the longer the U.S. preparatory education, they have made outstanding achievements in the language and academic.The proportions of Ph.D. were more than the average. They also actively participate in various social activities. Organize various associations. They increase knowledge by engagement in the outside world. When the students return home, they made some achievements in the field of education, industrial, political, and military and also make some contribution to Henan society of the Republic of China.
