The theory of relativity is one of the two great achievements of physics in thetwentieth Century. Compared to Newtonian mechanics, special relativity establishes aphysics system which is more consistent in logic and more realistic, so it is in a coreposition in modern physics. The special theory of relativity into high school physicscurriculum is the inevitable trend for modernization. However, special relativity is not paidenough attention to in the current teaching of senior high school. This paper aims atstudying the Teaching of the special theory of relativity in senior high school. I hope thatthis study helps teach special relativity in high school and achieve the teaching goal of the"standard ".The first chapter introduces the high school special relativity teaching researchbackground, significance, research status and the research purpose and significance; thesecond chapter investigates and analyses the current situation of teaching; The thirdchapter elaborates some basic principles and ideas of the special theory of relativity; Thefourth chapter puts forward teaching strategy based on the analysis of "course standard",teaching materials and the students; The fifth chapter deals with teaching design and howto carry it out. This paper focuses on what to teach about the special relativity in highschool physics, how to teach it, what extent to arrive at and how to teach each part.
