Chinese reading teaching is an essential part of Chinese-teaching in the senior high school. It is also an important way to improve students’ ability to learn Chinese. Chinese readingteaching is mainly made up of textbook, teacher, student, and the leaning environment in class, etc. These key elements consist of a dynamic conversation system. Conversation, by its nature, permeates the relation between each of these key elements. So ‘conversation’ is comparativelymore important in Chinese reading teaching. My study is based on the recent teaching reform and guided by the theory of conversationeducation. I am trying to find a way to work it out by the analysis of documents, surveys, interviews, and observations in class. The study is composed by Introduction, Text (four chapters) and Conclusion.Instruction tells of the origin and value of the study. It also introduces the researchachievements and methods at home and abroad.Chapter One introduces the essential characters of Chinese reading teaching in senior highschools and the theoretical underpinnings of reading teaching which is based on conversations.Chapter Two introduces the program--“unit teaching” in Pingdu NO.1Middle school,Shandong province. It includes the implementation of the several components in the programand observes the conversation system from the angle of conversations.Chapter Three emphasizes the results of the analysis of surveys. It further investigates thetopic conversation which exists in the reading teaching and its reasons by making surveys, interviews and observations.Chapter Four mainly tells how I rationally reassess and explore the topic which is about theconversation in Chinese reading teaching in senior high school. It tells how to build aconversation reading teaching strategy, which bases on the teaching practice, from the aspect ofbuilding conversation premises, optimizing class structures, and differentiating the characters ofcompulsory and elective courses.
