In recent years, demanding for public goods has been paid attention. What’s more,the wide gap between residents’ demands for sports and community supplies forsports in China gave so many informations for research. Based on the theory ofequilibrium of public goods, Fan completed an analysis from demand to equilibrium.And, depending on the methodologies like literature study, questionnaire andinterview etc, Fan completed the research on residents’ demands for sports inJimenli Community in Beitaipingzhuang Region, Beijing. The result of researchshows that the urgent residents’ demands are national physique monitoring,infrastructure and sports organization.However, with the development of community sports, the residents’dissatisfaction with community supplies for sports is increasingly obvious. Theunsatisfactory community supplies include sports organization, community sportsinstructor and national physique monitoring. Although the research on supplyingstatus has developed so much, the research on demand for sports is not enough.Therefore, the demand analysis is the basic analysis to supply sports.In a word, it is important to analysis the residents’ demand for sports. Becauseit can provide the reference for residents’demand, can give the basis for communitysupply, and it can fill the gaps in the research of “populace sports demand”.
