Solutions To The Problems Of Moral Education Among Elementary And Middle School Students

Elementary and middle school students are the builders of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics in the future. At present, there are about367million teenagers under the age of18nationwide, whose morality directly determines our nation’s moral standard, fate and future.With the reform and opening-up policy, China’s economy develops rapidly, bringing unprecedented improvement to people’s living standard. However, when the material civilization construction has achieved great accomplishment, the spiritual civilization construction is falling far behind. There are a series of worrying phenomenon which serve as wake-up calls for us, such as the spread of utilitarianism and capitalism, social indifference, professional ethic deterioration, etc. So it is extremely necessary and important to enhance moral education in elementary and middle schools, or even our society.In this essay, firstly Ⅰ will give some background information about the meaning of conducting moral education among elementary and middle school students and some relative researches at home and abroad, and explain a few important concepts. Secondly, Ⅰ will analyze the causes of setbacks in moral education among elementary and middle school students from three aspects, namely their family situation, school, and society background. Next, I will put forward some solutions to improve moral education in elementary and middle schools. They can be summed up as follows:First, improving homeschooled moral education is the foundation of moral education among elementary and middle school students; besides, schools should better their moral education as the main positions; last but not least, the Communist Party should set a good example in terms of morality and regulate the media to create a better environment for moral education.
