Physics experiment is the base of mankind exploring the science world, as an important practical activities of human exploring and recognizing the world. Clearly, Physics experiment is helpful for students to understand and master physics points better, plays a crucial role in training students’ abilities of analyzing problem and problem-solving too. However, currently there are lots of practical problems in the junior high school physics experimental teaching. For example, the number of experimental equipment is severely less than the number of students, which causing not each student can participate in experiment; it is difficult and highly risk for many physics experiments to manipulate in a real environment, which leading to teacher not dare to let students operate experiment autonomously in the laboratory, and so on.With the rapid development of Virtual Reality Technology and the promotion of informationization of education, the physics experimental teaching model in junior high school is changing. The new teaching model------virtual experiment, lets learners carry on experiment in a virtual experimental environment and learn physical knowledge, by simulating the real experiment. Virtual experiment having characteristics of ease of operation, cheap, strong interaction, and a good learning experience, makes it quickly attract widespread attention in the field of education. Virtual experiment provides the better solution to the remission of the practical problems in traditional experimental teaching.In this paper, a virtual experimental system of physics experiments for junior high school has been designed and developed. The main tasks of this paper include:(1)Study literature, and analyze the main problem of design of virtual experiment, explore possible solutions.(2)Analyze and compare the common development technologies of virtual experimental system, and select the most appropriate one for the system in this paper: flash/actionscript3.0, java.(3)By analyzing the physics experiments of junior high school, propose the design goals and principles of system.(4)Complete the general design, detail design of system and database design, study the processes of virtual experiment, and program to achieve the system.(5)Research the emphasis of virtual experiment’s realization:experimental phenomena associated with the parameters, and strong interaction. Use the flash platform and the script language actionscript3.0to achieve the dynamic interaction in virtual experiment.(6)Take the Ohms Law of closed circuit as an example to introduce the processes of virtual experiment’s realization. And, use the Java technology for system integration.The virtual experimental system studied in this paper, can ensure the students’ the autonomy and the teachers’ leading both dominant. The characteristics of this virtual experimental system lie in experimental phenomena associated with the parameters; concern about the user cognitive psychology, providing good interaction. Virtual experiment simulates the process of real experiment, to allow students to experiment at anytime and anywhere.
