Performance management, as an effective managerial tool and method, has been adopted by hospitals in our country since1980s which promote managerial level and sustainable development strategy of modern hospitals, also it has played an active role in the running and managing of various hospitals.However, there are lack of successful experience as well as theoretical researches concerning clinical teachers’ performance of hospitals in our country. Also, the managerial level of clinical teaching in hospitals is inferior, and the mechanisms and methods of evaluating clinical teachers’ teaching performance are insufficient. Under such circumstances, on the basis of consulting massive related materials of domestic and overseas, absorbing accumulated experience of domestic hospitals which carrying out hospital performance management, coupled with findings of experts in researching the managerial system of evaluating college teachers’ performance, this paper taking the clinical teachers’ performance management of Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University as objects, investigating and analyzing their problems and causes in current management situation in depth. By means of job analyzing, comparing job characteristics, compiling position description. Furthermore, planning the clinical teachers’ performance management program including performance objective, performance planning, salary system as well as performance check-up system. Meanwhile, detailed implementation of evaluating clinical teachers’ performance are also been put forward.The management plan of clinical teachers’ performance which is put forward in this paper has a direct instructive role in teaching and staff working of Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University. At the same time, this plan may use for reference in other hospitals.
