In order to foster students with increasing capabilities, teachers should advance their skillssimultaneously. Teachers acquire qualified professionalism through not only thoroughpre-service education but also a continuous learning process during their careers. Dedication andcare for students are the two essential qualities for a good teacher. In addition, scientific teachingmethods and sufficient teaching research abilities are also prerequisites to conductiveteacher-student interactions. Therefore, classroom teaching consultants play an important role indistrict teaching research through sustained updating teachers’ thoughts and techniques.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the origin, methodology and significance of my research. Somecore concepts are also defined.The second part reveals the main factors that influence English teachers’ professionalgrowth, both intrinsically and extrinsically. I claim that professionalism and abilities are theprerequisites of becoming successful teachers.The third part aims to demonstrate the significance of classroom teaching consultants inthe process of professional training. Their investigation, characterized by question-basedmethodology, school-orientation and remote instruction, reveals the professional growth amongthe English teachers. Under the guidance of the classroom teaching consultants, the teachers’development is rapid and substantial.The last part provides a detailed analysis of guiding strategies from classroom teachingconsultants. Examples include random tests, entrance exams and ordinary class evaluation.Various forms of motivation mechanisms that stimulate teachers to self-study and progress arealso discussed.
