Wuhan Jiangnan College is a college undertaking examination majors of Wuhan University. Based on the relevant theories of marketing, this paper is to make specific analysis of the college. By means of analyzing the current status of Wuhan Jiangnan College and external environment as well as intensive study on market segmentation and positioning, after aggregate analysis, this paper is to define marketing strategies of target market for the future development of Wuhan Jiangnan College, consequently, and to determine development direction of the college.The following conclusions can be drawn by the research:under the general background of current increasingly fierce competition of education, Wuhan Jiangnan College should improve own initiatives to improve competitive advantages according to personal features, and define student resources in the second-tier and third-tier cities as the key target market to recruit students by means of centralized marketing strategy. At the same time, Wuhan Jiangnan College should improve its independence for running a school, establish majors based on requirements of local employment market and students’parents and cooperate with the local government authorities, in this way, it’s not only applicable to improve social recognition to the college, but also increase job opportunities. Wuhan Finance College, the major competitor to Wuhan Jiangnan College, mainly engages in strengthening education input in field of economics and improving college’s hardware facilities. After determining own target market, Wuhan Jiangnan College should establish characteristic specialties on the basis of market requirements to develop its own advantages, instead of confronting the tough with toughness to Wuhan Finance College, and ensure students employment in their specialties by signing employment contract, consequently, to attract students by this market positioning.
