At present, the quantity of rural migrant workers transferred to town for thepurpose of hunting job has been larger and larger, with more obvious characteristic oftransferring by family rather than only by individuals. Scholars like Mr. DuanChengrong brought up the idea that floating population transferring to town has thetrend towards “family migration”,according to the increasing proportion withinwhole population from three aspects such as female proportion, married peopleproportion and whole family migration proportion. Under such situation, theeducation for the migrant workers’ children has become an outstanding social issue. For the migrant workers’ children’s education issue, family education plays asignificant and basic role. With reference to the research of education of migrant workers’ children, scholars have progressed in relevant research from different angles, includingpedagogy, sociology, economics and demology, which are based on supportingmigrant workers’ children to achieve better education. For specific policy, however itlaid particular stress on macroscopic analysis and system improvement. In order toanalyze the migrant workers’ children’s family education issue in detail, this thesisselects microscopic angle to elaborate, also based on family to analyze from an angleof family interaction relationship, and then to expand on conjoint family therapy inmicroscopic view. This thesis consists of three sections.First section, chapter one is the preface, which briefly introduces domestic andforeign research results on family education of migrant workers’ children. Based onthe above research results, I brought up my own research framework.Section two, there are four chapters in it. Chapter two, it introduces city Z and community X, and briefly analyzes from the angles of geographical conditions andsocial economic environment. This chapter starts to discuss the family education ofmigrant workers’ children, and to unfold the exiting problems of the concept andmethod from migrant worker family, through in-depth interview and previousscholars’ research results. Chapter three, it makes an analysis on reasons concerningfamily education of migrant workers’ children. Macroscopically, to analyze fromangles of policy and environment; microscopically, from internal part of migrantworker. Mainly from microscopic view and based on family, this chapter brieflyintroduces the characteristics of relationship between members of migrant workerfamily, and brings up theoretical view of social work intervention, also combinesconjoint family therapy to analyze. Chapter four, under the guidance of social worktheory, to adopt conjoint family therapy in individual case to intervene in typical case,to lay emphasis on changing the whole family interaction relationship, to fullydevelop the whole family’s function, by which to assist migrant workers’ children togain comprehensive family education, to ensure the children grow up healthily andhappily. Chapter five, it makes an analysis on specific application of conjoint familytherapy, mainly integrating the angle of culture and family therapy, and then sets forththe possibility of localization development of conjoint family therapy in this country. The third section, it refers to epilogue, which makes professional introspectionfor conjoint family therapy. Conjoint family therapy lay emphasis on mutual changesfor the whole family, rather than a specific problem as individual. Hence, theadvantage of every family can be developed completely, and also the cooperationamong family members can be more active and positive. In the meantime, conjointfamily therapy shows more confidence in individual value and potential, and alsorepresents the concept of the one helps others equals helping himself in social work.Drawing lessons from other theories and models, the conjoint family therapy shallassist migrant workers to fix more difficulties, with the localization development ofconjoint family therapy in this country.
