China’s higher education has been popularized since it was openmorewidely to students, which brings the increasing number of graduatesannually. The Independent College catches up with the trend of times, which is asort of higher education developed by the need of higher education’spopularization. Until April2008, there are more than300Independent Collegeswere set up in twenty nine provinces and cities all over the country, amongwhich have one million and six hundred fifty seven thousand undergraduates. Itis rich in higher education resources. The educated graduates from IndependentCollege take up30percent of our country’s. Having assumed the one thirdresponsibility of developing graduates, the Independent College becomes asignificant support to university education. Therefore, the employment of theIndependent College and Insititutions of Higher Education is likewise concernedso much. Accordingly, the rate of employment directly relates to the fulfillmentof their life value and the stability of our society. With a concept of constructing a harmonious society, currently, this research of graduates’ employment in theIndependent College is of greatrealistic significance.About this research is based on a number of questionnaires, interviews andbusiness investigations. The author started a pertinent research on IndependentCollege employment status-quo. For instance, each subjects’ IndependentCollege graduates employment status-quo, current situation of IndependentCollege students and pioneering work independently, Independent Collegegraduates’ employment successful cases, annual comparison of IndependentCollege graduates’ employment, etc. Moreover, the author makes somequestionnaires to the one thousand graduates understanding students’ attitudeson the policies and the society, and analyzing their attitudes on employment andexpectations. With the result of questionnaires, the author analyzes thestatus-quo of their employment and existing issue, and proposes some measureson the ground of government, society, Independent Colleges and graduatesthemselves.This thesis has five chapters. The chapter one is an introduction. The chapter two is related summary to the employment of graduates from theIndependent College. The chapter three is the research of the IndependentCollege’s graduates’ employment status-quo. The chapter four is theIndependent College students’ employment problem and analysis. The chapterfive is Promotion of the Independent College students’ employment initiatives.
