The theory of situational teaching was put forward after the1980s, started from abroad, and originated in one of the English teaching methods. Li Jilin is a famous expert on the Chinese teaching in primary schools. He has explored situational teaching model by combining the theory of situational learning in Western countries with his own job experience during so many years of teaching. Now we are in the transitional period for the curriculum reform. Since the situational teaching is popular among students. So the situational teaching is in need as time by.In the real teaching, teachers create a good earning environment for students’ learning to make the Chinese teaching going on in a relaxed and friendly way. It’s based on the basic principles of pedagogy and psychology, students’ differences of their ages and cognitional rules and a fine atmosphere between students and teachers, cognitive subjects and cognitive objects. All this is to make students acquire the new knowledge and develop their capacity and intelligence in a situational thinking.Chinese character teaching is not only an essential part of Chinese teaching in primary school, but also of great the most importance for the students in lower grades. It takes teachers lots of time to do the teaching, especially among the lower grades students because they’re not likely to show as much interest as in cartoons and stories. How to improve the efficiency and stir up the students’ interests in learning Chinese characters has been a significant issue on which excellent teachers frequently devote themselves to do the researches for years. The study aims to build up a brand-new system of teaching instead of the monotonous, dull and repetitious traditional ways. We change the concept of Chinese words teaching completely. We take the language that is familiar to the students as learning materials, make full use of their experience, and use the intuitionistic and visualized way to create a colourful teaching environment. It’s our goal to improve the students’ capacity and master some skills of knowing Chinese characters by putting knowing and practicing Chinese teaching together and finally to make the students happy to know and love to know Chinese characters in a relaxed way. Only in this way can students feel the glamour of Chinese words as well as develop their learning and thinking.
