The culture attainments of mathematics is the most important component in the cultureattainments of the human being. And the culture view of mathematics is that people have thebasic understanding and view from the culture level. Therefore mathematics cultural view isthe important embodiment of mathematical culture. The university students is the mainpropagator of the human culture. It is the culture attainments of mathematics in the universitythat is in relation to the whole nation’s mathematical literacy level. As a university studentmajoring in the mathematics, it is their culture attainments of mathematics that is worth ourattention and research.It is based on the above considerations, this research adopts questionnaire investigationmethods for the college students’ culture views of Mathematics in current situation that havean investigation and study. It is on the Northeast Normal University and Jilin University ofgrade08and grade09. Hope that through the survey of university students of mathematics onmathematics culture cognition situation, and to understand their mathematical literacy level.For the future of improving college students’ mathematics literacy education and providing abasis for a constructive way and plan.After the research discovery,the mathematics majors’ students have a certainmathematical cultural attainments, but the general level is still need to be improved. TheComprehensive university and Normal University have an difference in the cultureattainments of mathematics. The Normal University mathematical literacy levels were slightlyhigher in Comprehensive University. Senior mathematical literacy levels were higher thanjunior. The girls mathematics literacy levels were similar to boys. The study also found thatthe domestic and international university to improve the students’ mathematical culturalattainments’ way include: Firstly, setting up a curriculum of the mathematics culture.Secondly, classroom teaching penetration of mathematics culture. Thirdly, mathematicsculture knowledge joining textbooks. Fourthly, to carry out activities of the Mathematicsculture. According to the above research, this paper proposes the specific way and scheme toimprove college students’ mathematical cultural attainments.
