A Survey About The Pre-service Teachers’knowledge Of Life Science History

In recent years, the educational value of life science history has gottenmore and more the attention of the education field. Our research in this area ismore and more deep. This paper researched the educational value of life sciencehistory firstly. Profoundly knowing of the history of life science knowledge forpre-service teachers is very meaningful, is good for pre-service teachersforming a correct view of science, and is good for the practical work in later life.Therefore, this paper came out with all the history of life science knowledgeinvolved in the PEP current high school biology textbooks, hoping to be able todraw on life science history knowledge in self-test given to pre-service teachers.What’s more, this paper had designed a questionnaire. For surveying andinterviewing of pre-service teachers about the history of life science knowledgeof the status, the history of life science knowledge sources and the problem.After this study, we found the following questions:1. The situation oflearning the history of life science about pre-service teachers is not good.2.Pre-service teachers on life science history learning attitude is not positiveenough, lacking a deep understanding of the history of science.3. Thepre-service teachers learning life science history knowledge are mostly from their own experience of reflection and self-study.4. There are some questions inlife science history courses. For solving the questions, the paper concludes withrelated recommendations:1.The Normal School strengthen the life history ofscience teaching.2.Non-life history of science teachers penetrate the knowledgeof the life history of science in professional courses.3. Pre-service Prospectiveteachers strengthen the understanding of the life history of science and learning.
