Because of junior students’ individual differences, the junior high school chemistrycourses late academic pressure, some experimental content can not be operated, the operatingtime is short and other issues. The traditional mode of teaching can no longer meet the needsof the students, it is imperative to create a new type of chemical teaching.Through the literature analysis, interviews surveys, action research and other researchmethods, junior high school chemistry blended learning platform based on moodle isproposed in this article. The Chinese name of Moodle is a modular object-oriented dynamiclearning environment, it is a free course management system based on constructivisteducational theory and developed by Australian teachers Martin Dougiamas. The main idea isthat educators and learners are equal and the principal teaching activities of mutualcooperation and co-construct knowledge based on their existing experience. Blended learningis the integration of classroom learning, digital learning and network learning, not only play ateachers guide, inspire, and monitor the leading role of the teaching process, but also fullyembodies the students’ learning process, the main initiative, enthusiasm and creativity purpose.Through independent learning based on moodle’s learning platform, it is not only to helpfoster students’ ability to learn, but also can contribute to the personality development ofstudents. Teachers can use this platform for teaching, assignments, test and so on before classor in class or after class. This platform also provides a forum and chat room function, to helpthose between teachers and teachers and between teachers and students and between studentsand students with asynchronous or synchronous communication.Based on moodle junior high school chemistry blended learning platform in this article,based on the online course design principles and the characteristics of the blended learning, ithas designed the junior high school chemistry blended learning platform according to thesystem management, teaching and interaction. According to the junior high school chemistryteaching practice, the third unit in the People’s Education Press Chemical ninth grade book"the nature of water, for example, junior high school chemistry blended learning platformbased on Moodle construction, this platform provides the front side of learning, study guide,the experimental demonstration hall, virtual labs, the experimental explore,operations,resource library, learning time statistics, unit learning forums, chat rooms and other functions.
