The teaching concept of cooperative learning has got high recognition and praise with the new curriculum reform further deepening and developing. But in the major premise of examination-oriented education, due to the influence of various factors, there are still some problems in the class of cooperative learning which trouble teachers, for example, how can we make cooperative learning effective in such limited time? How can we rationally evaluate the students, and better pay more attention to the students who have relatively weak foundation? The author, based on her teaching practice in the school argues that cooperative learning has more advantages compared with the traditional teaching. She attempts to correct some wrong practice in cooperative learning and have the guidance paper to be the learning carrier to construct a kind of easy-operated, more reasonable mode of cooperative learning in middle school English.This research uses Literature synthesis method, comparative method, questionnaire survey method and action research method. Through the study on the main mode, theoretical basis, evaluation system of cooperative learning and its application in Junior English class for more in-depth study, the results show that to have the guidance paper to be the learning carrier can organize the class better. To construct a better cooperative learning mode based on the different requirements of English listening, speaking, reading and writing can overcome the disadvantages of cooperative learning, enhance the class efficiency, make the students learn English better, thus enhance students’learning interest and improve their grade.The enlightenment that we can get is:1) Teachers must believe that the teaching of cooperative learning is superior to traditional teaching. We must improve the implementation strategy of cooperative learning through activities and explore suitable cooperative learning mode for the school and the class.2) English teachers must advance with the times, constantly enhance the personal qualities, so that we can better design and organize cooperative learning and maximize its effect, improve students’ academic achievements and promote all aspects of their quality.
