To perfect the high school teacher evaluation system is the urgent need of currenteducation development system. The goal of teacher evaluation is to judge all job andabilities on teachers. The final goal is to lift teachers’ level and meet students’ needbetter. The search aim of the essay is to explore a better high school teacher evaluationapproaches and system, so teachers’ mind and major development could be ensured.Four high schools were chosen random with question and interview to survey thepresent situation of the high school teacher evaluation.The first part elaborates the background and signification of the production of theconcept of the teacher evaluation,and survey objects and approaches. The second partdescribes the status of the teacher evaluation in high school, index, ways and rules ofevaluation. Some parts need to be changed because they could not work actively.Leadership’s opinions are important, the main evaluation way is leader evaluation,colleague evaluation and students evaluation. At present, the teacher evaluation ismandatory evaluation made by department of education and school management.Although leaders have management experience, they may not grasp professionalevaluation skills. The angle of evaluation may be one-sided, even subjective. Someevaluation approaches can’t adapt the characteristics of the times, they restrict teachers’professional development.The third part puts forward the evaluation system which is suitable for their needs.The survey showed some teachers will get improved under the evaluation pressure, butother teachers can’t produce power after they have got a certain level. Thus the essayprovides the evaluation mode which is suitable for teachers’ need and introduces someevaluation approaches.This topic search takes the method of literature, observation, statistics, surveymethod and case analysis.
