Scientific inquiry ability and the understanding of it are being formedwhile students are learning inquiry. It needs to organize the students tolearn inquiry. It’s very important for the students to develop their inquiryability. That’s also a basic still which the students have to master. There area large number of inquiry activities in the junior high school biologyteaching. We shouldn’t ignore them.I have summed up two theoretical results. One is Three different kinds ofinquiry activities in biology teaching. The other is Four teaching strategiesfor improving students’ inquiry abilities. By learning the study, teachers canimprove abilities in using teaching materials, mastering class, stimulatingthe students’ enthusiasm and integrating application of teaching means.Students are gradually forming abilities in watching, summing up,problems found. They can learn experimental design, survey research,practical ability. Meanwhile, they can show the emotions of loving ourhometown and our country and the spirits science in protecting theenvironment and daring to explore.
