The“work-study combination, school-enterprise cooperation” model has currentlybecome the most important starting point for the reform of talent training of higher vocationaleducation as well as a major breakthrough and necessary supplement of the traditionalvocational education. This model is a new occupation education value orientationembodiment, by before pure school education gradually to the school-enterprise cooperationin social education, from the theoretical knowledge to practice change. Higher vocationalstudents for social development, and the development of regional economy culture occupationwith professional skills and quality of skilled personnel, from the teaching mode. HigherVocational Ideological and political theory courses need to change the traditional teachingmode, the appropriate increase in compliance with the requirements of the content of"combining learning with working". From student management, we should also strengthenand enterprise cooperation, formation of school-enterprise cooperation education, goodmorphology, improving students’ employment ability. As an employment-oriented model the“work-study combination, school-enterprise cooperation” talent training model can promotethe improvement of students’ overall quality of technical ability and professional ability. Atthe same time, this talent training model sets a brand new issue for how to improveideological and political education of college students.The study on ideological education under “work-study combination, school-enterprisecooperation” model can enable the thinking and innovation of student management, inaddition, this study may also heighten the effectiveness and pertinence of student management,promote the overall development of students and improve students’ professional competence.The first part of this paper expounded the connotation of “work-study combination”including the definition and features. The main objective of “work-study combination” talenttraining model is the professional talent training. It fully reflects the philosophy of“employment-oriented, capacity-building-centered”. Plus, the first part expounded thefeatures of “work-study combination” model from the following aspects: the particularity ofeducation thoughts, the flexibility of specialties, the subjectivity of the courses, and the practicability of teaching and evaluating,The second part discusses the impact brought by “work-study combination” model onideological and political education of higher vocational colleges. This impact mainly reflectsin students the management and service during their internship. Under the “work-studycombination” model, the complex social environment and the change of teaching objectivesand requirements increase the difficulty to ideological and political education of highervocational colleges.Through adopting questionnaires and interviews, the third part of the paper introducesthe current state of ideological and political education of higher vocational students to analyzethe existing problems and causes.The forth part of this paper put a stress on the existing problems of ideological andpolitical education of higher vocational colleges. They are the lack of unified understandingof the importance of the ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges,unclear educational positioning, and the lack of pertinence, incomplete team building andnarrow pathways and the lack of long-term mechanism.In order to response the inadequacies of ideological and political education in highervocational colleges and cultivate the excellent students in skill, ideology and quality, the lastpart of this paper focus on the countermeasures of the problems in ideological and politicaleducation in higher vocational colleges. First and foremost we need to update the educationalphilosophy, fully understand and grasp the essence of “work-study combination” model.Secondly, the educator should have good quality. Specialized course teachers and ideologicaland political education teachers should cooperate and jointly manage the students.Furthermore, in order to adapt the new requirement of “work-study combination” model, weshould reform the education and improve the traditional contents, optimize the processmanagement and build a long-term educational mechanism. During the school-enterprisecooperation, create a professional environment for students and integrate the corporationculture into the campus culture to build the enterprise campus culture to improve theprofessionalism of the students and their competitiveness in the job market. "Work-integrated Learning" mode, for both school and enterprise in the talent traininggoal and the social responsibility are the same. How to do a good job of "Work-studyCombination" mode of students’ Ideological and political education work, shall be made bytwo sides together, this requires a thorough understanding of both sides, the combination ofengineering to develop to higher administrative levels and fusion.
